Request Account Deletion

We're sorry to see you go. If you want to delete your FraudAlert account, please read the information below carefully before proceeding.

⚠️ Before You Delete Your Account

Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account:

• All your personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers
• Your subscription will be immediately canceled (no refunds for remaining time)
• All fraud alerts and history will be erased
• You will lose access to all premium features immediately
• Your fraud detection configuration and preferences will be deleted
• This action cannot be reversed - you will need to create a new account if you wish to use FraudAlert again

Alternative Options

If you're experiencing issues with the app, consider these alternatives:

• Cancel Subscription: You can cancel your premium subscription while keeping your account. Go to Settings → Manage Subscription in the app.
• Contact Support: Having technical issues? Our support team can help resolve problems.
• Take a Break: You can simply stop using the app and come back later without deleting your account.

What Happens After Submission

1. Verification (1-2 days): We'll verify your identity by sending a confirmation email to your registered email address.
2. Click Confirmation Link: You must click the link in the email to confirm your deletion request.
3. Processing (3-5 days): Once confirmed, we'll process your deletion request and permanently remove all your data.
4. Completion Email: You'll receive a final confirmation email when the deletion is complete.

Data Retention

After deletion:

• Personal data is deleted immediately from active systems
• Backups are purged within 30 days
• Some anonymized analytics data may be retained for service improvement
• We may retain certain data if required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes)
